About Us

Eastside Harley Owners Group
Chapter, #5389
EST. 1988

National HOG's motto is to "Ride and Have Fun!" We take it even further in that we not only ride and have fun; we have fun all the time! Whether we are on our bikes or at a meeting or charitable event, it's always fun.

The following information is offered to give you an insight of how our local chapter functions, and hopefully to give you the answers to many of your questions.

MEMBERSHIP and HISTORY - Eastside HOG was established June 21, 1988, with ten members, which has grown to over 200 members. We are extremely lucky to be sponsored by Eastside Harley-Davidson. Membership is limited only by having your HOG National membership current, as our sponsor doesn’t require any local Chapter Dues! You can find the necessary forms here:

MEETINGS – Are normally held on the 4th Saturday of each month at Eastside Harley Davidson dealership.  Visit the Events/Rides page for specific date, time and location as they do occasionally change.

Come early and socialize, visit with friends, and meet new people. The meetings are a fun, organized event lasting about an hour. They are designed to give you the latest status of The Chapter, tell you about upcoming rides, runs, rallies, rider safety courses, Ladies of Harley and charitable events. This is also your opportunity to provide input and suggestions to make YOUR chapter even better. After each meeting, weather permitting, we head out on a ride.

LADIES OF HARLEY (LOH) – ES HOG’s LOH membership is free to all life, full and associate National HOG members. Visit the LOH page for more information.

RIDES - We do a lot of rides throughout the year, from poker runs to overnighters. We keep two things in mind on our rides -- safety and fun. We look forward to these events and believe they go hand in hand to create memorable experiences. You will hear of rides like the Park ‘N `Ride, Marionwood Memories Run, ABC Ride, Mount St. Helens Ride, Sun and Surf, Street Vibrations, national and Canadian HOG Rallies, Park ‘n Rides, etc. Most of our rides end up at a place to have a meal and kick back. These are great events where we meet up with hundreds, even thousands, of our brothers and sisters on bikes and have more fun.

NEWSLETTER and WEBSITE - We produce a monthly newsletter, THE RODEHOG, with all the news and information about our group, which is available on our website.

VOLUNTEERS - This is an all-volunteer organization. All the officers are volunteers. All the people who help us organize and execute our rides, our events and our parties are volunteers. We make this organization work for you with your help, your input and your decision to volunteer. So, think about getting involved and being an active member.

SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE AND TIPS WITH US - We all come from different backgrounds and have many different experiences. Along the way we learn better ways to have fun and ride more safely. If you have an idea, speak up. Bring your ideas to the attention of an officer so we can share it with the group. If you have a question about anything, like "What's this about that?" feel free to ask. This is your HOG group and we can all benefit from the diversity and knowledge of our members.

We hope to meet each and every one of you. Whether you come to the meetings and events or not; whether you hang around the Dealership on the weekends with us or not; whether you go on rides with us or not; it's all up to you to step up, and we will do our part to make you feel welcome and part of our family.
