8 Steps to writing your story: 1) When you went – “It was Sunday July 24 as we ventured out for a ride.” 2) Who you went with – “It was me, the wife, John, Rob and Bob.” 3) Where you went – “The final destination was Mount Baker.” 4) What were the roads like – “We travelled on some great roads like Highway 2, fun and somewhat curvy an windy.” 5) Did you make any stops? – “On the way we made stops in Chehalis and Tacoma for lunch and to top off.” 6) Did you see any natural wildlife? - “also we saw a deer off the ferry!” 7) Include any comical events - “One funny thing that happened along the way was we saw someone at a local park have a wardrobe malfunction!” 8) End with what made the trip fun – “I was with my “best husband”!
So you see….it isn’t that difficult to jot
down a short ride story. You can spin it any way and add humour
if it suits you. Please feel free to contribute to your RodeHOG
with story content and a picture or two. Send your short story
to me at
