Lake Whatcom Ride

Event date:
Sun, 02/06/2022 - 6:08pm

This is a nice scenic-up/slab-back route to one of the 2022 Lake Destinations that departs from the dealership and follows 148th St to Willows Road to pass the golf course, then 124th St over to 202 to get you onto Route 9, which takes you on a nice long ride through valleys, winding turns, and great scenery until your left turn on Park Road to get to Lake Whatcom. Be careful on the more winding sections and when the pre-turn caution signs say 30 or 20mph, slow down. It's two lanes and there's no reason to risk having someone take a turn too widely.

Enjoy the scenery and when you turn right on Windward Road, go slow and watch closely for the right turn on Marina Drive that takes you to the lake.

On leaving, this route includes a stop at the Alger Bar & Grille for an awewome lunch before getting onto I5 for a straight run back to the Eastside area.

It's a 175 mile round trip ride and you'll want to stop for a break, spend a few minutes at the lake, and enjoy a long lunch at Algers, so count on a 3/4 day and depart around 10 or 11AM.
