Carillon Point, Kirkland Trivia: The 1917 opening of the ship canal also opened Lake Washington to ocean-going vessels. By 1940, Kirkland's Lake Washington Shipyard was building warships for the U.S. Navy. More than 25 warships were built during World War II on what is now Carillon Point. WOAHH! In 1976, it was leased by the Seattle Seahawks football team for offices and a practice field. Ten years later, the Seahawks lease ended, and the property was developed into the Carillon Point of today. It’s an easy but beautiful ride along Lake Washington BLVD out to Carillon Point in Kirkland. It’s so close to the dealer that we want you to do your December – and maybe year ending – mileage on this ride to or from the dealer. |
Get a pic of yourself, your bike, and the Carillon Point roundabout in the background for two chances at a $40 gift card at our upcoming chapter meeting! Send it to [email protected] or post it on our ES Roadhog Facebook page! You have from now through December 31st for this EASY ride to complete this last destination of the year! |

The monthly challenge is a local (or not) place that you ride to every month. Everyone who makes the trek has their name put into a drawing. The drawing is pulled at the monthly chapter meeting and the winner gets an Eastside Harley Gift Card. While winning a giftcard is cool, having an excuse to get out and ride by yourself or with others to a place you've never been is priceless.
