1891 - Post Office and Railway Station are established at what will become the Index townsite. 1893 - Town of Index is platted by Amos and Persis Gunn on their mining claim. Great Northern RR transcontinental mainline completed through town providing direct connection to Seattle and Minneapolis, still active today. The Bush House has been found on photos dated as early as 1893. Since 1898, Bush House in its various states and through multiple owners has been a private residence, a housing for UW students majoring in mining, a restaurant when owned by Nordstroms, a banquet hall and wedding venue. In 2021, it reopened its updated guest rooms with lodging available year-round.

The monthly challenge is a local (or not) place that you ride to every month. Everyone who makes the trek has their name put into a drawing. The drawing is pulled at the monthly chapter meeting and the winner gets an Eastside Harley Gift Card. While winning a giftcard is cool, having an excuse to get out and ride by yourself or with others to a place you've never been is priceless.
